From recently published books to vintage classics, puzzles, DVDs, children’s books, and so much more, the Friends of the Marathon County book sale is back once again!

Book_Sale_New_Space

Our dedicated group of Friends, who volunteer their time to sift through hundreds if not thousands of items for each new sale, has been working pretty close to feverishly to be ready for their next quarterly sale, which begins on Thursday, August 2, 2018, and continues through Sunday, August 5.

If you haven’t stopped by the library’s Wausau Headquarters to check out our sale, what are you waiting for?

The August sale marks the third in their newer space in the basement area of the building, which is accessible either through the inside of the library or through its own entrance on the west side of the building.

It’s free to browse the materials, but we think you’ll have a hard time leaving empty handed!

After all, self-control is difficult when you have hundreds of items for $1, including books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, and more. Newer, gently used books won’t break the bank either — those are for sale for just $3!

The start of the sale on August 2 is a special preview sale for members of the Friends group. If you’re not a member, you can join anytime, including on the spot August 2!

The sale is then open to the general public from August 3 to 5 and includes the extra-special deal of a $6 bag sale on the final day — That’s right: Everything you can fit in a paper grocery bag for, you guessed it, $6!

For more information about the sale or the Friends group, visit our website or give us a call at 715-261-7200.

We hope to see you there!
