The inaugural Run to Remember 5K Run / Walk will take place on March 17, 2018, in Weston.
This event will raise money to create a standing memorial for the victims of the March 22 shootings that impacted a number of families across several Central Wisconsin communities and shook the entire region.
Just before the 1-year anniversary of that devastating day, we will gather to remember:




Volunteers are needed to help with various tasks, including registration, refreshment set-up, course marshals, and clean-up. If you’re interested in volunteering, please email Cassandra Ambrosius.
The entry fee is $25 until February 26, 2018. After that, the price will increase. The final route is being finalized, so please stay tuned…

Prior to moving to Wisconsin, Cassandra grew up in Northern Virginia. In 2011, she moved to Marshfield to become a bureau reporter. She quickly advanced in the company to Wausau reporter, weekend anchor, and internet director. After working in Eastbay’s marketing department for a year and a half, she made her way back to WAOW as the Content Manager. Cassandra is actively involved in her community, as a Big Sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters, as well as serving on the United Way Emerging Leaders Board of Directors.
