Each year, a full week in October is nationally recognized as Mental Health Awareness Week. This year it happens October 1–7, 2017.
North Central Health Care and Community Corner Clubhouse would like to invite you to carry out this national recognition throughout the month of October and enjoy an evening to celebrate local cuisine, talent, and commerce at:
An Evening of Jazz
Friday, October 20, 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. | Rothschild Pavilion
Tickets are $40 at the door (or in advance at www.norcen.org/eoj).
PLEASE NOTE: All proceeds from Evening of Jazz will benefit Community Corner Clubhouse — opening the door for hope, recovery, and opportunity for people with mental illness.
Community Corner Clubhouse recognizes the importance of community in ALL of our lives and would like to share with you the talents of local restaurants, chefs, and entertainers throughout the evening’s benefit.
Guests may sample local cuisine and drinks while enjoying entertainment from artists in our community.
Throughout the evening, powerful stories of inspiration and hope will be provided by Community Corner Clubhouse members, staff, and supporters.
Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a Silent Auction and Raffles that include prizes like:
- Airplane rides
- Jewelry
- Furniture
- …and more!
Items have been generously donated from community businesses and individuals.
Live music will echo through the night from local jazz talent John Greiner’s Little Big Band, while guests sample local cuisine and drinks at the sampling tables!

Community Corner Clubhouse (located on 3rd Avenue in Wausau) helps adults with persistent mental illness and addiction challenges realize their potential by providing them with a Clubhouse where they can meet friends, build self-confidence, learn valuable life skills, and discover untapped talents.
Community Corner Clubhouse is an internationally certified, psychosocial rehabilitation community that provides accessible, low-cost services in a supportive environment. Clubhouse membership is voluntary and without time limits — allowing members to choose the services they need when they need them.

As the Communications and Marketing Coordinator at North Central Health Care (NCHC), Jessica Meadows is passionate about being able to use her creative talents to connect people to healthcare, resources, and networking that will impact their life in a positive way. Prior to joining NCHC, she was a Creative Director and leader at a marketing agency in the Stevens Point area.
