In Marathon County, WE LOVE WINTER…
We love snowshoeing.
We love skiing.
We love ice fishing.
But there’s nothing quite like the thrill of ZINGING down Sylvan Hill on a snow tube on a crisp Wisconsin evening — with the wind whipping in your face and folks shrieking and laughing all around you — to get your heart racing.
It’s THE BEST.
County employees and their families took to the slopes on January 22 for a night of tubing and merriment. Nearly 200 people gathered to eat, drink, laugh, and zip fearlessly down the hill.

What? Not convinced tubing is for you?
Check out some GoPro footage of my tubing trip down Sylvan Hill with County Administrator Brad Karger and Deputy Administrator Lance Leonhard (and son).
I knew you’d love it. Want more?
See my whole live Facebook feed UP the hill on the tow wire and DOWN the hill with our tubes all hooked together. The views (and thrills) at the park are truly amazing, as can be seen in this GoPro footage.
If you’ve never been tubing at Sylvan Park, you’ve GOT to try it.

Sylvan Hill’s 2016–2017 public tubing season is fast coming to a close. With the recent warm weather, be sure to call the park office at 715-261-1550 to check conditions.
